Who we are

Good Housing was founded by experienced principals who are adept in navigating the planning, approvals, funding, and management of affordable housing buildings in the greater Washington, D.C. Metro region. Based in Reston, Virginia, Good Housing builds, owns, and operates affordable and workforce apartments.

Beginning as Good Works LP and evolving into Good Housing, our team has more than 50 years of collective experience in the real estate industry and over 25 years of experience capitalizing affordable developments with Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, HUD bonds, and VHDA low-interest loans together with Federal, state, and local grants to finance attractive, certified “green” apartments with rents well below market rates. Good Housing develops stand-alone buildings but also welcomes the opportunity to partner with homebuilders to satisfy the affordable requirements (ADUs) in larger mixed-income and mixed-use projects.
